Dan Christopherson, APR

Since forming Christopherson & Co. Communications in 1983, Dan Christopherson has provided strategic counsel and overseen branding, marketing, advertising and public relations programs for dozens of companies and institutions, including start-ups, large companies such as Coca-Cola and Newmont Gold, non-profits, and governmental clients that include the E-470 Public Highway Authority, municipalities, an airport authority and library districts.
Dan’s first job after college was as a writer for the Colorado Springs Daily Sun. He later was a writer for the Denver Post.
He subsequently formed the first PR department for the Rocky Mountain region’s largest bank, then served as public relations director for Vail Resorts (operators of the America’s largest ski resort, Vail, as well as Beaver Creek) and as marketing director for Beaver Creek Resort.
From there he returned to Denver as V.P - Marketing and head of the in-house advertising agency for what is now Bank of the West – Colorado.
Dan has served as a director for the Denver Advertising Federation, the Travel and Tourism Research Association, and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). He is accredited by PRSA and served as a member of the PRSA National Assembly for three years. He was President of the Colorado Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators and was Chairman of the Denver International Film Festival.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Colorado, where he minored in marketing and philosophy.
